WordPress Basics
Work From Home WordPress Blog Instructions
We will be creating a number of wordpress blogs as part of the Million Dollar Blueprint. A good reference guide for setting up wordpress blogs can be found on the NZPCS network here: Auto Blogger
The first one you create will be a Work From Home blog like this one on the sub-domain work-from-home. The work from home files to use are on the download page in the instruction site. The file is called blogpack.zip
Download and extract the Blog files to your hard-drive. You will have access to the instruction videos found in the instruction site. Watch the videos to familiarize yourself with the process. The basic instructions are for uploading to a main domain so I have included the extra steps and some examples for a sub domain blog and niche site appended blog.
Setting Up A Wordpress Blog on a Sub-domain
You will need to add a niche sub-domain to your hosting. For our first blog it will be work-from-home, for any others you create it will be a niche keyword or keyword-phrase: /public_html/[work-from-home] on your web host. Use CPanel >> Sub Domain Maintenance to create it.
Your blog URL will look like this:
http://[work-from-home].[yourdomain].[com] (or .net .biz .info or whatever you chose)
Follow the instructions below remembering to replace /public_html with /public_html/[work-from-home]
Appending A Blog to a Sub-domain Niche-site
You will need to create a new folder called either wordpress or blog within your sub-domain: /public_html/[niche sub-domain] folder on your web host.
Use CPanel >> File Manager or FTP Program to do this.
Your appended blog URL will look like this:
http://[your sub-domain].[yourdomain].[com]/[blog] (or wordpress)
For example my Jewelry Niche blog URL is this: http://www.maiden-nz-jewellery.wfh4l.com/blog
Follow the instructions below remembering to replace /public_html with
/public_html/[your sub-domain]/[wordpress or blog]
File Transfer Program (FTP)
I recommend SmartFTP because it provides a familiar Windows file system much like Windows Explorer so should be intuitive for you to use and it’s free to download.
If you haven’t got a FTP Program go to SmartFTP and download the program for free.

Below is sequential instruction extracts taken from the WP Auto Blog video for you to refer to when setting up your blog. Whenever you see words with square brackets [ ], insert your details omitting the brackets
You will be uploading WP into the new sub-domain or /wordpress /blog folder created so when the instructions say /public_html (and is in green bold like this) as a root directory; you will be using the following as your root directory:
Niche Site Auto Blog: /public_html/[niche sub-domain]
Appended Niche Site Auto Blog: /public_html/[your sub-domain]/[wordpress or blog]
Remember to also refer the NZPCS Instruction Site and in particular check out the Auto Blogger site.
